The role The role will offer varied and stimulating corporate and commercial work, client contact, mentoring and a co-operative and supportive team.
They are looking to talk to self-motivated Associate / Senior Associate who will develop into a key member of the national Corporate and Commercial team.
Job responsibilities include:
- Drafting and negotiating commercial contracts
- Advising on business acquisitions, mergers and due diligence processes
- Advising on business structures
- Advising on commercial and corporations law
- Competition and consumer law advice
- Advising in relation to intellectual property including registration and licensing of trademarks and the protection of confidential information
- Preparing and negotiating shareholder and joint venture agreements
- Liaising with clients
- Management of own files
- Supervision and mentoring of less experienced staff
- Marketing and business development activities
- Time recording and billing
- Other reasonable duties as directed by the Principals
About you - A client oriented approach with well-developed ability to understand and recognise client needs
- Enthusiasm and flexibility in approach to work
- Self-motivation and accountability, with the ability to prioritise work and apply appropriate use of initiative
- Maintains a high level of professional conduct and confidentiality at all times
- A desire to build strong working relationships through positive and open communication with colleagues throughout the firm.
- A team oriented and solutions focused attitude
Experience - 4+ years PAE.
- General corporate and commercial experience is essential.
