The Opportunity:
This role is ideally suited to an experienced accounting professional with 6+ years' experience who is confident managing their own client portfolio, working directly with clients, reviewing work and providing technical guidance to other team members.
You will work closely with clients and Partners, providing accounting, taxation and advisory support while identifying opportunities and risks across your portfolio.
For the right candidate, there is also a genuine pathway for future progression, with a clear career structure from Client Manager through to Senior Client Manager, Associate and ultimately Partner.
Key Responsibilities: - Manage a portfolio of clients, including client relationships, task turnaround and WIP management.
- Participate in and independently lead client meetings.
- Prepare and review accounting and taxation work across a diverse client portfolio.
- Perform analytical reviews of your own and the team's work to identify client opportunities and potential risks.
- Review and sign off on client work with confidence.
- Draft advice on financial, taxation and investment matters for Partner review.
- Provide technical guidance, training and mentorship to team members.
- Provide strategies and advice relating to Division 7A compliance.
- Research technical matters and prepare insights to support client and business decision-making.
- Identify opportunities to add value to clients and contribute to business growth.
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement across the team.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships.
- Contribute to workplace groups and firm-wide initiatives.
Ideally, you'll have: - 6+ years' experience working within an Australian accounting firm.
- CA or CPA qualification.
- Strong technical knowledge across Australian accounting and taxation.
- Previous experience managing a client portfolio.
- Strong understanding of Division 7A and Australian taxation requirements.
- Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proven ability to review and sign off on accounting and taxation work.
- A passion for leadership, collaboration and mentoring.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to manage competing deadlines.
- A proactive approach to client service and business growth.
- Ability to work autonomously while also contributing positively to a collaborative team environment.
