An established and highly regarded legal practice is expanding its family law offering and is looking for a senior family lawyer to play an important role in building the practice.
This is an opportunity for an experienced family lawyer to step into a position with genuine autonomy, a strong existing client base and the scope to develop their own practice. You’ll have the support of an established broader legal practice around you, while working closely with senior leadership and helping to shape the family law team as it grows.
The opportunity - Help build a growing family law practice, with plans to expand the team significantly over the coming months.
- Run your own files end-to-end with a high degree of autonomy and the support of experienced practitioners when needed.
- Work across a broad range of family law matters, including complex parenting and property matters.
- Bring and develop your own practice, with an established client and referral base highly valued.
- Take on a leadership role as the practice grows, with the opportunity to mentor and support more junior lawyers.
- Work alongside complementary legal teams, providing access to broader expertise across areas such as property and Wills & Estates.
You’ll ideally have: - 4+ years experience in family law
- Strong experience across parenting, property and complex family law matters
- The ability to independently manage files from commencement through to resolution
- An established client base, referral network or transferable practice
- Accredited Specialist status in Family Law, or a strong pathway towards specialisation, will be highly regarded
- The confidence and leadership skills to mentor more junior members of the team
- A collaborative, personable approach and the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues
