The Opportunity:
An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Senior Accountant to join the team.
This role is ideally suited to a technically strong Senior Accountant who is confident managing their own client portfolio, working autonomously, liaising directly with clients and working closely with Partners.
For the right candidate, there is also the potential to progress towards a future Partner pathway, making this an excellent opportunity for someone looking beyond a traditional Senior Accountant role.
Key Responsibilities: - Manage a portfolio of clients and deliver high-quality accounting and taxation services.
- Prepare and review financial statements and income tax returns.
- Work across a variety of client structures, including individuals, companies, trusts and superannuation.
- Manage client compliance and advisory matters.
- Liaise directly with clients and Partners.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term professional client relationships.
- Work autonomously while taking ownership of client outcomes and deadlines.
- Assist with mentoring and supporting junior team members where required.
Ideally, you’ll have: - Significant Australian public practice accounting experience.
- Previous Senior Accountant-level experience with strong technical knowledge.
- CPA qualified.
- Strong knowledge of Australian taxation and compliance requirements.
- Experience working across a variety of client structures.
- Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- A genuine interest in long-term career progression and future leadership opportunities.
- Technical Skills:
- Experience with Class Super.
- Experience with Active Ledger.
- Strong Xero experience, particularly bookkeeping.
- Experience with other accounting and taxation software will also be considered.
