Banking & Finance Associate

An outstanding opportunity has become available for an experienced Banking & Finance Lawyer to join one of Australia's leading national commercial law firms.

Working alongside highly respected partners recognised as leaders in the Banking & Finance market, you'll advise a broad range of banks, financial institutions, credit funds and corporate borrowers on sophisticated financing transactions across multiple sectors.

This role offers exposure to complex, high-value matters while providing the support, mentoring and career development expected from one of the country's premier commercial law firms.

The Opportunity
You'll work on a broad range of financing matters, including:

• Corporate finance transactions
• Property and real estate finance
• Acquisition and leveraged finance
• Construction and development finance
• Agribusiness lending
• Bilateral, club and syndicated lending
• Secured and unsecured lending arrangements

You'll collaborate closely with experienced partners and senior lawyers while enjoying meaningful client contact and increasing responsibility as your practice develops.

To be successful, you will ideally have:

• Approximately 2+ years' post-admission experience in Banking & Finance
• Experience acting on corporate, property or general finance transactions
• Strong drafting, analytical and negotiation skills
• A commercial mindset and client-focused approach
• The ability to work collaboratively within a high-performing team
