Banking & Finance Lawyer

I am partnering with a leading international law firm seeking an Associate or Senior Associate to join its Banking & Finance team. This opportunity would suit a high-performing Banking & Finance lawyer who is looking to continue developing their technical expertise, work alongside market-leading practitioners and gain exposure to sophisticated national and international matters.

The team is selective about who they bring on board and is looking for a lawyer with strong technical foundations, excellent academics and genuine ambition to build a long-term career within a top-tier practice.

The Opportunity
You will join a highly regarded Banking & Finance team of approximately 30 lawyers, working alongside experienced Partners and lawyers across the firm's national offices.

The team advises clients across a broad range of sectors including infrastructure, government, healthcare, media and financial services, providing exposure to some of the most complex and interesting transactions in the market.

Your experience may include advising on:

• Project finance transactions;
• Acquisition and leveraged finance;
• Property finance;
• Corporate financing arrangements;
• Complex lending and security arrangements;
• General Banking & Finance matters.

The team offers the opportunity to work across a broad range of transactions while developing your own areas of expertise. Lawyers are encouraged to build a strong technical foundation while identifying the areas of Banking & Finance they are most passionate about.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Associate or junior Senior Associate level experience in Banking & Finance;
• Strong private practice experience within a recognised Banking & Finance team;
• Exposure to sophisticated financing transactions;
• Strong academic results;
• Excellent drafting, analytical and communication skills;
• A genuine desire to continue learning and developing.
