About the Opportunity We are partnering with a respected Commercial and Property practice renowned for its client first approach, high quality work, and exceptionally supportive internal structure. The team is seeking a dedicated Commercial Lawyer with strong property experience, including confidence using PEXA, Duties Online, and managing standard transactional property work.
This role sits within a uniquely structured team where lawyers work closely with a group of highly capable Law Clerks and PAs who manage workflow and provide comprehensive administrative support. You’ll step into an extremely varied commercial practice, where no two days look the same and adaptability is key.

What You’ll Be Doing You will work across a broad mix of Commercial and Property matters, including:
- General commercial work
- Sale & purchase of business matters
- Leasing
- IP and related commercial issues
Your responsibilities will include: - Managing standard property transactions, including all PEXA and Duties Online requirements
- Drafting high quality correspondence, contracts, leases, business sale agreements and related documents with accuracy and strong attention to detail
- Providing clear, thorough client advice across complex contracts and commercial issues
- Handling liquor licensing, gaming and hospitality matters as required
- Liaising with clients, external parties, clerks and barristers
- Working closely with Law Clerks and PAs in opening/closing files and ensuring accuracy of all matter data
- Exercising sound judgment, autonomy and initiative in a busy and client driven environment
What We’re Looking For - 3–5 years PQE in Commercial Law, with solid experience in transactional work
- At least 2+ years’ hands on experience in property transactions including PEXA and Duties Online
- Strong drafting capability and high attention to detail
- Ability to work autonomously and handle competing deadlines
- Commercial awareness, strong time management and excellent file management skills
- Confidence communicating with clients, reading complex contracts, and providing practical, ethical legal advice
- A proactive, resilient and adaptable approach
- Experience mentoring or supporting junior staff is desirable
