About the Opportunity Our client is a progressive and growing national firm undergoing an exciting strategic expansion. With one of the Melbourne Partners relocating to Adelaide in 2025, the Commercial Litigation team is seeking a capable Lawyer with 3-6 years PQE to step in and take on a broad, high quality mix of disputes work.
Working closely with two highly experienced Melbourne Partners, and collaborating frequently with the Sydney team, you will have full autonomy over your files, direct client contact, and exposure to matters typically reserved for more senior roles in top-tier environments.

You’ll manage a full and varied disputes practice, including:
Typical Matters - Commercial litigation
- Insolvency matters
- Debt recovery
- Property disputes
- Construction disputes
- A full mix of quality mid-market disputes work
Key Responsibilities - Taking full carriage of files from day one
- Managing litigation strategy and preparing court documents
- Providing clear, practical advice to clients on complex disputes
- Conducting negotiations, mediations and settlement discussions
- Building strong relationships with clients; small businesses and high net worth individuals
- Actively participating in BD and marketing to grow your client base
- Collaborating with Melbourne and Sydney colleagues on major matters
What We’re Looking For - 3-6 years PQE in commercial litigation and disputes
- Experience across insolvency, debt recovery, construction and/or property litigation
- Strong drafting, advocacy and negotiation skills
- Ability to work autonomously while being an effective team collaborator
- Commercially minded, confident communicator and strong file manager
- Someone who enjoys BD and wants to grow their own practice
- A proactive, motivated and career-driven approach
