The Opportunity An outstanding opportunity has arisen for a Senior Associate Employment Lawyer to join a highly regarded national law firm with an exceptional reputation for advising corporate clients on complex employment and industrial relations matters.
Working alongside respected Partners, you will become part of a collaborative and high-performing team acting for employers, listed companies, private businesses and executives across a broad range of industries. The role offers an excellent balance of contentious and advisory work, exposure to high-profile matters and the opportunity to build strong client relationships while developing your leadership skills.
This is the ideal opportunity for an ambitious Employment Lawyer looking for greater autonomy, quality work and a clear pathway towards Partnership.
The Role You will manage a varied and engaging practice across all aspects of employment and workplace relations law, including:
- Employment and industrial disputes
- Enterprise bargaining and industrial relations matters
- Workplace investigations
- Employment contracts and executive arrangements
- Performance management, disciplinary matters and terminations
- Unfair dismissal and general protections claims
- Discrimination, harassment and workplace conduct matters
- Award interpretation and wage compliance reviews
- Employment policies and workplace risk management
- Corporate and transactional employment support
You will enjoy direct client contact, run matters from inception through to resolution and mentor junior lawyers as the team continues to grow.
About You To be successful in this role you will have:
- Approximately 5–7 years+ PQE in Employment & Workplace Relations
- Strong private practice experience across advisory and litigation matters
- Excellent technical and drafting skills
- Commercial acumen with a pragmatic approach to client service
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
- The confidence to manage matters autonomously
- A collaborative attitude and genuine interest in mentoring junior lawyers
