An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a driven and capable Family Lawyer to join a highly regarded specialist family law practice.

With an incoming junior lawyer joining the team in the next 12–18 months, this position is designed for someone ready to step up, deepen their expertise, and grow into a mentoring and leadership role. The Role You’ll work closely with an experienced Director within a focused and high performing team, handling a broad range of family law matters including:
- Parenting and Property Matters
- Intervention Order Applications
- Child and Spousal Support Matters
This is a hands on litigation and advisory role where you will:
- Draft and prepare Initiating Applications, Responses, Affidavits, Financial Statements, Consent Orders, Binding Financial Agreements, and complex correspondence
- Manage discovery processes, including reviewing and summarising financial and subpoena material
- Communicate directly with clients, barristers, and expert witnesses
- Work autonomously on detailed and often complex matters
- Manage files end-to-end with strong commercial awareness
- Contribute to business development and professional networking initiatives
You will be trusted with responsibility and given the autonomy to run matters, with strong support where needed.
What We’re Looking For - 2+ years PQE in family law
- Strong drafting and technical skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Ability to work independently and manage competing deadlines
- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- Commercial awareness and a proactive mindset
- Confidence in client facing situations
