This is an exciting opportunity for a driven family lawyer to join a high performing team in a growth focused position.
A well regarded family law practice is looking to appoint a 2-5 PAE lawyer to work closely with an experienced Director on a strong and consistent pipeline of matters. The role has been created with growth in mind — over the next 12-18 months, you will be supported to step into a more senior position within the team.
You’ll be exposed to a broad range of work, with a primary focus on parenting and property matters, as well as intervention orders and child and spousal support issues. You will be trusted to take ownership of your files while being supported in developing both your technical ability and your commercial approach.
Your responsibilities will include: - Drafting court documents, including Initiating Applications, Affidavits, Financial Statements and Consent Orders
- Managing discovery and analysing financial and evidentiary material
- Advising clients and maintaining strong, professional relationships
- Liaising with counsel, experts and other external stakeholders
- Progressing matters efficiently while meeting court deadlines and billing expectations
This role offers a genuine balance between autonomy and support. You will be given the space to run matters and build confidence in your decision making, while still having access to guidance from an experienced practitioner. Expectations are clear and structured, with a sustainable approach to billables and performance.
To be successful, you will bring: - 2-5 years PQE in family law
- Confidence managing files and communicating directly with clients
- Strong drafting skills and attention to detail
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a close-knit team
- A proactive, commercially aware mindset and a genuine interest in long term development
If you are looking for a position where you can step up with intent, be trusted with quality work, and progress within a structured and growing team, this is a strong opportunity to consider.
