Family Lawyer - 3+ yrs PQE

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Family Lawyer to join a well established firm with a strong reputation and a rapidly expanding family law practice. With over 40 years of history and a loyal client base, this role offers genuine long term career development for lawyers looking to specialise and grow with the practice.

This role will suit a motivated family lawyer who is passionate about developing their expertise in family law and is interested in pursuing accredited specialisation in the future, with strong mentorship and support from senior practitioners.

The Role
You will work across the full scope of family law matters, including parenting, property and complex disputes, gaining exposure to a diverse and high quality client base. As the practice grows, you will have increasing responsibility and autonomy, with the opportunity to run matters end to end while being supported by experienced senior lawyers.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing a broad range of family law matters from inception to resolution
• Drafting court documents, correspondence and advice
• Appearing at directions hearings and procedural matters (commensurate with experience)
• Working closely with senior lawyers and the Managing Director on complex files
• Assisting with the ongoing growth and development of the family law practice
• Mentoring and supporting junior staff over time (as your experience develops)

About You
We are open to Lawyers, Associates or strong Senior Associates with a background in family law who are keen to build a long term career in this space.

You will ideally have:

• Experience in family law - 3+ yrs PQE
• A genuine interest in building a career in family law, including working towards accredited specialisation
• Strong drafting, communication and client-management skills
• The ability to manage files with increasing autonomy
• A collaborative, positive approach and willingness to learn
• An interest in leadership and mentoring as the practice grows

Accredited Specialisation or an existing transferable/referral practice is highly regarded but not essential.
