We are currently seeking an experienced Family Lawyer to join a well established and growing legal practice based in Melbourne's Suburbs. This is an exciting opportunity for a lawyer with 3+ years PQE, who is confident running matters independently and is looking to take on more responsibility in a close knit, supportive environment.
You’ll work across a variety of Family Law matters, including property settlements, parenting matters, financial agreements, and spousal maintenance. The ideal candidate will be confident managing files from start to finish, with the ability to provide compassionate, practical advice to clients navigating complex and sensitive issues.

Key Responsibilities - Manage a diverse caseload of Family Law matters, including both property and parenting issues
- Draft, review, and negotiate court documents, settlement agreements, and correspondence
- Appear in court and instruct counsel where required
- Provide clear, client focused legal advice with empathy and professionalism
- Mentor and support junior staff as needed
- Maintain strong client relationships and uphold high professional standards
Candidate Requirements - Minimum of 3 years PQE in Family Law (experience with both property and children’s matters is ideal)
- Confident in running files autonomously from start to finish
- Strong drafting, negotiation, and advocacy skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Interest or experience in mentoring junior staff
- A proactive and compassionate approach to client care
