My client is offering a fantastic role within a growing boutique firm where you’ll work closely with experienced, hands-on Partners and gain exposure to both compliance and advisory work across a diverse client base.
The Firm A boutique, multidisciplinary Melbourne-based accounting and advisory firm with 3 Partners and a team of 18 staff. The firm services a broad mix of SME and high-net-worth clients across industries including medical, legal, retail, manufacturing, IT, and more (typically $1M-$50M turnover).
They pride themselves on a down-to-earth, supportive culture that values autonomy, strong relationships, and hiring based on attitude - with plenty of training and upskilling provided along the way.
The Role This is an excellent opportunity for an Intermediate Accountant with 2-4 years’ experience in public practice who is looking to step up and broaden their skillset. You’ll work directly with Senior Managers and Partners, gaining valuable exposure to both compliance and advisory.
You’ll be responsible for: - Preparing financial statements and tax returns for various entity types
- Preparing BAS, IAS, and other compliance obligations
- Assisting with tax planning and advisory work
- Liaising directly with clients and the ATO
- Maintaining high-quality workpapers and supporting senior team members
About You - 2–4 years’ experience in Australian public practice
- Degree in Accounting or Commerce
- CA/CPA commenced or near completion
- Experience with Xero and cloud-based systems
- Strong communication skills and a client-focused mindset
