The Company Our client is a well-established CPA accounting firm with 2 Partners and a team of around 30–35 staff across local and offshore operations. The firm has experienced consistent growth and continues to expand its team as its client base grows.
The practice services a diverse portfolio of SME and medium-sized businesses (up to $50m turnover) across a variety of industries, including property and technology.
Based in modern offices with natural light and rooftop facilities, the firm has built a strong reputation for developing staff internally, with many team members starting as graduates and progressing through the ranks into senior positions.
The Opportunity Due to continued growth, the firm is looking to bring on 1–2 talented Intermediate or Senior Accountants to join the team.
This role will suit someone with 2–5 years’ experience in public practice who is confident preparing financial statements, communicating with clients and managing relationships.
You will work closely with managers and partners while also reviewing work prepared by the firm’s offshore team.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing financial statements and tax returns for SME clients
- Managing client relationships and acting as a key point of contact
- Reviewing work prepared by offshore team members
- Communicating directly with clients regarding compliance and financial matters
- Assisting with tax planning and business advisory work
- Supporting workflow management across your client portfolio
About You - 2–5+ years’ experience within public practice accounting
- Experience preparing financial statements and tax returns
- Confident communicating directly with clients
- Strong presentation and relationship management skills
- Experience with Xero or other cloud-based accounting systems
- Working towards or completed CA / CPA (preferred but not essential)
