The Opportunity An exciting opportunity is available for a Junior Accountant with around 2–3 years’ public practice experience who is looking to further develop their skills within a supportive boutique environment.
This role will provide strong mentoring and exposure to a wide variety of work across SME and individual clients, making it ideal for someone who is proactive, personable and eager to grow their career.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing individual tax returns and BAS statements
- Assisting with compliance work for SME clients
- Liaising with the ATO regarding client matters
- Supporting senior accountants and partners with client work
- Assisting with financial statements and general tax compliance
- Building relationships with clients and assisting with queries
About You - 2-3 years’ experience within public practice accounting
- Experience preparing individual tax returns and BAS
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn
- Experience with Xero or MYOB is beneficial
- Currently studying or planning to undertake CA / CPA (preferred)
