If you're looking to broaden your legal experience and escape the rigid structure of larger firms, this could be exactly what you're after. This respected boutique firm is known for its strong generalist practice and close knit, supportive team. You'll work across a wide mix of matters involving commercial, litigation, family, property, conveyancing, and wills & estates; giving you exposure you simply don’t get in a highly specialised environment.
You’ll work closely with a highly regarded senior lawyer and partners who genuinely invest in their team. It’s the kind of place where people stay long term - because they feel supported, valued, and trusted to do great work.
What makes this firm stand out? - A varied and interesting workload across multiple practice areas
- A team that works hard but doesn’t take itself too seriously
- A healthy, realistic approach to billables
- Annual salary and performance reviews, with a bonus structure in place
- Mentorship from senior lawyers who actually enjoy helping you grow
- Free parking nearby and flexibility around working from home
- A genuinely welcoming and collaborative office environment
About the role This role is ideal for a capable lawyer who enjoys variety, is confident managing their own files, and thrives in a team oriented environment. While you'll have the autonomy to run your matters, support is always close by.
You’ll get involved in: - Drafting and negotiating commercial contracts and agreements
- Advising clients on leasing, business law, and general disputes
- Handling property transactions and conveyancing matters
- Assisting with wills, estates, and Part IV claims
- Contributing to family law files when needed
- Building relationships with a diverse client base
- Working closely with colleagues in an open, friendly office
What we’re looking for - Around 2-3 years post admission experience
- A generalist background is ideal, or at least solid experience in commercial and litigation
- Some exposure to property, family law, or conveyancing will be highly regarded
- Someone who enjoys working in a team and is happy to ask questions and offer ideas
- A lawyer who takes ownership of their work but appreciates collaboration
What’s on offer - A competitive salary, reviewed annually
- Bonus structure based on performance, not just billables
- Referral incentives for bringing in work
- Ongoing mentorship from experienced lawyers
- A firm culture that values trust, respect, and balance
- Flexibility around working arrangements
- A team that genuinely gets along, with very low staff turnover
