About the Firm This well established Melbourne firm blends over a century of legal history with a genuinely modern, down to earth approach. Known for its people first, ego free culture, the team is deeply committed to building strong, respectful relationships with clients and colleagues alike. You’ll be joining a firm where structure, integrity and collaboration aren’t just buzzwords; they shape how the work gets done.
The Wills & Estates and Property team is highly regarded for its clear, compassionate and strategic advice, spanning everything from straightforward estate planning to complex litigation and property matters. If you're looking to grow in a quality driven practice that values detail, process and people, you’ll fit right in.
The Opportunity This is your chance to step into a broad and rewarding role where no two days look the same. You’ll manage your own portfolio of matters across:
- Estate Planning (wills, powers of attorney, trusts)
- Estate Administration & Probate
- Estate Litigation (including family provision claims)
- Property matters (conveyancing, subdivisions, applications)
You'll be hands on from the start; drafting documents, managing timelines, liaising with clients and stakeholders, and guiding files through to resolution. The work is diverse, the clients are engaged, and you’ll always be supported by an experienced and thoughtful Director who values mentorship and professional growth.
You’ll be using modern legal systems like ActionStep, NetDocuments, PEXA, Duties Online and RedCrest, while staying sharp on compliance, risk management, and cost disclosures. Your days will be structured, your goals clear, and your input valued.
What We’re Looking For
We’re after someone who brings more than just technical skills, someone who genuinely enjoys the process, the people, and the purpose behind what they do. Ideally, you’ll have:
- 2+ years PAE in estate planning and probate
- 2+ years’ experience in property law, especially conveyancing and PEXA
- Excellent drafting skills with eagle eyed attention to detail
- A proactive, professional and client centred approach
- Confidence working independently, but willing to ask questions and learn
- Strong communication skills and a genuine interest in building client trust
If you're someone who thrives in a well organised, systems based environment where everything has a place, and people support each other to succeed, you’ll love being part of this team.
If you’re ready to build on your experience, work with purpose, and grow in a supportive and respected firm, please get in touch!
