The Opportunity:
An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Legal Assistant to join a busy Personal Injury / WorkCover team.
You will primarily support a Principal who is second in charge of the team, with additional support to a Senior Associate as required. This is a fast-paced, detail-driven practice area suited to someone who thrives in a structured and high-performing environment.
The current Legal Assistant has recently been promoted internally to a Law Clerk role — a true testament to the firm’s commitment to career development and progression.
Key Responsibilities: - High-level administrative and legal support to the Principal and Senior Associate
- Managing complex diaries and coordinating appointments
- Drafting, formatting, and amending legal documents and correspondence
- Liaising with clients, insurers, medical providers, and third parties
- Managing electronic and physical files
- Billing and financial processes using Caseflow and Aderant
- Supporting WorkSafe and TAC defendant matters
- Ensuring compliance within a busy insurance litigation practice
About You: - Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Legal Assistant in personal injury, insurance, or litigation
- Experience with WorkSafe and TAC matters
- WorkSafe Panel experience highly regarded
- Previous panel firm experience strongly preferred
- Defendant experience preferred (plaintiff backgrounds also considered)
- Proficiency in Caseflow and Aderant advantageous
- Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage competing priorities with accuracy and professionalism
- Confident working autonomously while contributing positively to a team
Working Arrangements:
- Monday to Wednesday in the office
- Two days working from home
