The Opportunity An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Legal Assistant to join a high-performing Personal Injury / WorkCover team. You will primarily support a Principal who is second in charge of the practice, with additional exposure to a Senior Associate.
This is a fast-paced and engaging role suited to someone who thrives under pressure, takes initiative, and enjoys being a key part of a busy litigation team.
Key Responsibilities: - Provide high-level support to a Principal and Senior Associate
- Manage complex diaries, appointments, and client communications
- Draft, format, and amend legal documents and correspondence
- Liaise with clients, insurers, medical providers, and third parties
- Manage electronic and physical files
- Handle billing processes using Caseflow and Aderant
- Support WorkSafe and TAC matters (defendant focus)
- Assist with compliance and procedural requirements
About You: - Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Legal Assistant in personal injury, insurance, or litigation
- Experience with WorkSafe and TAC matters
- WorkSafe Panel experience highly regarded
- Background in a panel firm strongly preferred (but not essential)
- Defendant experience ideal; plaintiff experience also considered
- Strong organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work both autonomously and within a team
- Experience with Caseflow and Aderant is advantageous
