Litigation Lawyer

This boutique firm specialises in building and construction disputes, acting for builders, homeowners, and developers on high profile and multi-party litigation. We are seeking a lawyer or associate with 2+ years PQE to join the team, working under the guidance of an industry leader. You’ll gain hands on experience in complex litigation, including domestic building disputes, commercial matters, security of payment, insolvency, and Owners Corporation cases.

The role offers significant autonomy after a structured training period, with the chance to appear in VCAT, County, and Supreme Court proceedings, collaborate with barristers, and engage directly with clients. Key Responsibilities

• Manage a diverse litigation caseload independently after the initial training period
• Represent clients in VCAT, County, and Supreme Court proceedings
• Conduct legal research, prepare court documents, and provide strategic advice to clients
• Collaborate with the partner on complex multi-party matters
• Attend CPD sessions and industry training, fully supported by the firm
• Build strong relationships with clients, barristers, and stakeholders

Candidate Requirements

• 2+ years PQE in building and construction or commercial litigation
• Experience in VCAT, County, and Supreme Court proceedings
• Comfortable working directly with builders, homeowners, and multi-party matters
• Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage files independently
• Ambitious, proactive, and willing to learn from a highly experienced partner
• Excellent communication and client management skills
