Role Purpose - Report to the General Manager and work under a supervising lawyer.
- Assist in managing client matters professionally and efficiently.
- Support file management, client communication, and billing processes to help achieve revenue targets.
- Ensure outstanding client outcomes.
What You’ll Be Doing - Support supervising lawyers on client cases to achieve the best outcomes.
- Communicate professionally with clients, opposing parties, and other stakeholders.
- Record time daily and meet weekly and monthly billing targets.
- Assist with billing, collections, and trust account management.
- Collaborate closely with lawyers and legal assistants for smooth workflow and daily in-person connection.
- Participate in continuing legal education (minimum 5 hours/year) and internal CPD presentations.
- Contribute to business development, including social media, and promotional events.
- Undertake additional professional development in leadership, time management, client management, and sales.
What We’re Looking For - Proven experience as a Paralegal or Legal Assistant, ideally in a premium or boutique practice.
- Strong client service, communication, and organisational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple files, and maintain accuracy.
- Proficiency with Outlook, Word, Excel, and LEAP, including drafting/amending documents, managing emails/calendars, and accurate time recording.
What Success Looks Like - Achieve or exceed monthly revenue collection targets.
- Meet daily billable hour expectations (minimum 4 hours/day).
- Maintain consistent business development activity (minimum 1.5 hours/week).
- Attend at least 80% of internal meetings.
- Engage in at least 5 hours of CPD annually.
