A well established Law Firm is seeking an experienced
Property Paralegal to join a high-performing Property team in Melbourne. This is an excellent opportunity to work closely with partners and lawyers on high-quality conveyancing, subdivision, and development matters within a collaborative and respected national firm.
About the Role
In this role, you will provide end-to-end support across a broad range of property matters, working closely with supervising partners and allocated authors. You will be responsible for managing files, liaising with clients and external stakeholders, and ensuring matters progress efficiently and accurately.
Key Responsibilities
- You will manage conveyancing files across sale and purchase matters, prepare and review contracts, and draft correspondence and routine legal documentation.
- The role involves regular client communication, obtaining instructions, and providing updates throughout the transaction lifecycle.
- You will assist with online lodgements, coordinate settlements, and liaise with real estate agents, lenders, banks, and other stakeholders.
- Additional responsibilities include conducting online searches and property-specific research, following up with financial institutions to ensure timely progress, managing key dates and diaries, assisting with end-of-month billing, and supporting subdivision and development matters as required.
About You
You will have
3–4 years’ experience as a Property Paralegal, with strong working knowledge of
PEXA, SPEAR, and Duties Online. You will be highly detail-oriented, organised, and confident managing multiple matters concurrently in a fast-paced environment.
- You will bring excellent client service and communication skills, strong problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to work under pressure while maintaining accuracy.
- Touch typing skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office are essential, with Excel skills beneficial but not mandatory.
- Experience using iManage or a similar document management system, along with exposure to Tri-Convey or similar conveyancing software, will be highly regarded.
- Relevant legal or conveyancing qualifications are desirable.
