An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced and highly organised Practice Manager to join a modern, fast-paced and growing Family Law firm located in the heart of Melbourne CBD.
This is a pivotal leadership role within the firm, suited to someone who thrives in a busy legal environment and enjoys taking ownership of operations, people management and the overall running of a successful practice.
Working closely with the Principal Lawyer and wider legal team, you will play an integral role in supporting the continued growth, efficiency and culture of the firm.
Key Responsibilities: - Overseeing the day-to-day operations of a busy Family Law practice
- Managing staff performance, workflow and office culture
- Coordinating recruitment, onboarding and HR administration
- Managing payroll, invoicing, accounts administration and financial reporting
- Assisting with trust accounting oversight and compliance processes
- Implementing and maintaining office systems, procedures and efficiencies
- Liaising with clients, barristers and external service providers
- Supporting the Principal Lawyer with operational strategy and business growth
- Ensuring smooth file management and general office administration
About You: - Previous experience as a Practice Manager or Office Manager within a law firm
- Strong understanding of legal practice operations and office management
- Experience managing payroll, accounts and office finances
- Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail
- Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Proactive, professional and able to work autonomously
- Experience within Family Law will be highly regarded
