The Role
The firm is seeking a Principal to lead and build their commercial practice. While there is not an established team, the objective is to grow the practice as new work comes in. You will have full autonomy over your files, direct client contact, and the opportunity to shape the commercial team’s processes and strategy. As a member of the senior leadership forum, you will contribute to business strategy, attend workshops and dinners, and be involved in discussions that shape the future of the firm. This is a leadership role with genuine influence and visibility.

The Ideal Candidate
My client is seeking a Special Counsel or Partner-level commercial lawyer with a strong referral network/transferrable practice, technical expertise, leadership capability, and a vision to grow a practice. You are commercially minded, proactive, and enjoy mentoring and developing others. A collaborative approach, creativity in business development, and the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues will be key to success. This is a rare opportunity to step into a highly visible leadership role where you can shape a practice and make a lasting impact on the firm.
