The Role Working closely with a Partner and Senior Client Account Manager, you will manage your own portfolio of clients across a diverse range of industries and entity structures.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing your own client fee base and becoming the primary point of contact for clients.
- Preparing and reviewing financial statements and income tax returns.
- Conducting first-level reviews of work completed by junior accountants.
- Managing workflow across your portfolio to ensure deadlines are achieved.
- Providing business advisory and taxation advice to clients.
- Identifying opportunities to deliver additional value-added services.
- Mentoring and supporting junior team members.
- Building strong, long-term client relationships.
For candidates operating at an Assistant Manager level, you will take on additional responsibility across portfolio leadership, workflow management, team development and supporting the Partner with strategic client relationships.
What You’ll Bring
You will be CA or CPA qualified (or nearing completion) with a strong background in public practice and a desire to progress within a modern advisory environment.
To be successful, you will have: - Minimum 5 years’ public practice experience for Senior Accountant level.
- Approximately 7+ years’ experience for Assistant Manager level.
- Experience managing your own client fee base.
- Strong experience preparing and reviewing financial statements and income tax returns.
- Experience conducting first-level reviews.
- Strong workflow and deadline management skills.
- Exposure to trusts, companies, individuals and multi-entity groups.
- Experience with Division 7A, trust distributions and tax planning.
- Strong client communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A genuine interest in business advisory and helping clients achieve their goals.
- Previous experience mentoring and supporting junior accountants.
- A proactive, commercial mindset and a willingness to contribute to a growing team.
