The Opportunity The firm is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant (5+ years) who is ready to step into an Assistant Manager pathway.
In this role, you will: - Manage your own portfolio of SME clients (approx. $50K fee base) end-to-end
- Work across clients with turnovers from $1M to $75M+
- Mentor and review work from junior accountants
- Play a key role in job finalisation alongside senior leadership
This is a hands-on role with clear progression for someone ambitious and career-driven.
Your Responsibilities - Managing a portfolio of SME clients end-to-end
- Preparing and reviewing financial statements and tax returns
- Handling tax compliance and advisory matters
- Reviewing work prepared by junior accountants
- Supporting workflow management and job finalisation
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships
- Identifying opportunities to grow client revenue streams
About You - 5+ years’ experience in public practice
- Strong experience managing client relationships independently
- Solid technical skills across tax and compliance
- Experience with Xero (essential) and XPM (desirable)
- Strong communication and leadership capabilities
- Ambitious, proactive, and career-focused
- Desire to progress into an Assistant Manager role
