The Opportunity
Due to growth, the firm is seeking a
Senior Accountant (5+ years’ experience) to step into a pivotal role supporting both managers and junior staff.
This role is ideal for someone who:
- Enjoys reviewing work and mentoring juniors
- Can take pressure off managers by ensuring quality and workflow efficiency
- Is approachable and willing to support team members day-to-day
You’ll play a key role in bridging the gap between junior staff and management, while still being hands-on with technical work.
Your Responsibilities - Preparing financial statements and tax returns for a diverse client base
- Reviewing work completed by junior accountants
- Assisting managers with workflow and quality control
- Supporting and mentoring junior team members
- Providing input into tax planning and advisory matters
- Working across a variety of entity structures including complex groups
- Handling Division 7A matters and related compliance
About You - 5+ years’ experience in public practice accounting
- Strong technical skills across tax and compliance
- Experience with Division 7A
- Confident reviewing work and providing feedback to junior staff
- Approachable and team-oriented mindset
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Experience with MYOB AE, CAS, and/or BGL 360 (preferred)
