Senior Associate - Corporate Law

Exceptional opportunity to join a leading corporate practice working alongside an experienced Partner on significant M&A and commercial matters.

We are working with a highly regarded Australian law firm that is continuing to grow its Corporate & Commercial practice and is seeking a talented Senior Associate or Special Counsel to join their team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong corporate lawyer who is looking for high-quality work, direct Partner access and the ability to play a key role within a successful and collaborative practice.

The Opportunity
Working closely with an experienced Partner, you will be involved in a broad range of corporate and commercial matters, including:

• Mergers & acquisitions (M&A), including buy-side and sell-side transactions
• Listed company advisory and corporate governance matters
• Complex commercial contracts and strategic advisory work
• Joint ventures, investments and corporate restructures
• Advising significant private businesses, ASX-listed companies and international organisations

You will work directly with Partners and have the opportunity to take ownership of transactions, utilising your strong drafting skills and commercial judgement.

About You
We are seeking a Senior Associate or Special Counsel-level lawyer who has:

• Strong experience within a leading Corporate & Commercial practice
• Exposure to M&A and complex commercial transactions
• Excellent technical ability and drafting skills
• The confidence to manage matters and work closely with Partners and clients
• A proactive, commercially minded approach with the ability to operate autonomously

This role would suit a lawyer who enjoys working on sophisticated matters while remaining closely connected to clients and senior practitioners.
