A busy, client-focused accounting practice is seeking an experienced and confident Senior Bookkeeper / BAS Specialist to join their team. This is a hands-on role for a professional who can hit the ground running, operate as an all-rounder, and thrive in a client-facing environment.
Key Responsibilities: - Manage end-to-end payroll processing
- Allocate transactions and reconcile bank and accounts
- Prepare and lodge BAS accurately and on time
- Manage invoicing and client queries, providing ongoing support
- Act as the first point of contact for tax return queries
- Use workflow management systems such as NowInfinity or Affinity to streamline processes
- Support the Principal and Accountants with day-to-day bookkeeping and client tasks
Skills & Experience: - Minimum 5 years’ experience in bookkeeping and BAS preparation
- Extensive experience using MYOB and strong working knowledge of Xero, including client training
- Experienced with workflow systems (e.g., NowInfinity / Affinity)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities
- A genuine people person with the ability to build and maintain client relationships
Working Arrangements: - Office-based, 4–5 days per week
- Standard hours: 9:30am – 5:00pm, with flexibility available (e.g., 9:30am – 2:30pm)
