We are currently recruiting for an exciting opportunity for a Senior Legal Assistant to support the Managing Partner and Head of the Corporate & Commercial Practice Team.

The Opportunity:
Reporting directly to the Managing Partner, you will play an integral role in keeping the Corporate & Commercial team running smoothly. You’ll provide high-level legal secretarial and administrative support while also being hands-on across a range of property and commercial matters.
This role would suit someone who is confident working autonomously, has excellent attention to detail and enjoys being a trusted and valued member of a busy legal team.
What You'll Be Doing Your responsibilities will include: - Providing high-level secretarial and administrative support to the Managing Partner and Corporate & Commercial team
- Managing busy diaries, meetings and appointments
- Coordinating team meetings, preparing agendas and recording minutes
- Preparing, formatting and finalising correspondence and legal documentation
- Assisting with monthly billing, timesheet entries and expense management
- Opening, closing and archiving files
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date filing
- Preparing and managing legal correspondence and documentation
- Assisting with Section 32 statements, vendor statements and contracts of sale
- Preparing and assisting with leases and leasing matters
- Applying for rate and planning certificates
- Conducting InfoTrack, title, company and ASIC searches
- Working with PEXA on property transactions
- Supporting the team with legal research where required
- Managing incoming calls, client enquiries and third-party correspondence
- Organising travel and other administrative requirements
- Digital dictation and document preparation
- Providing general administrative support across the practice
- Taking ownership of ad hoc tasks and contributing wherever required
Ideal Candidate: - Previous experience within a law firm
- Strong commercial and/or property legal experience
- Experience with PEXA, InfoTrack and ASIC searches
- Knowledge of leasing and property transactions
- Experience preparing Section 32s, vendor statements and contracts of sale
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Advanced Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook skills
- Strong typing skills, ideally 80+ WPM
- Exceptional organisation and time management
- The ability to prioritise competing deadlines and manage a busy workload
- A proactive approach and the confidence to work autonomously
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of professionalism
- A collaborative, positive and energetic attitude
- The ability to maintain complete confidentiality
