If you’re a senior trusts and estates lawyer who genuinely enjoys the litigation side of the practice, this is an opportunity to step into a role with plenty of autonomy, genuinely complex work and the chance to help grow a specialist practice.
You’ll join an established Trusts & Estates team working closely with two highly experienced senior practitioners, with a practice spanning complex estate litigation, trusts matters and estate administration. The work is high quality and technically interesting, and you’ll have the opportunity to run your own matters while also playing an important role in supporting and developing more junior lawyers.
The role The focus will be primarily on trusts and estates litigation, with exposure to the team’s growing independent administrator and independent trustee practice. You’ll be trusted to take ownership of complex matters with limited supervision, while having experienced senior practitioners around you when you need them.
There is also scope to take on a genuine senior role within the team – supervising and mentoring junior lawyers, providing guidance on complex estate administration matters and contributing to the continued growth of the practice.
You don’t need to bring a portable client base to be successful here. The team has a strong pipeline of work already in place, so the opportunity is really about joining a practice where you can build something for the long term.
We’re looking for someone who: - Has strong experience across trusts and estates litigation
- Is technically excellent and confident running complex matters autonomously
- Can provide senior support, supervision and mentoring to junior lawyers
- Enjoys working as part of a close, high-performing team
- Has a genuine interest in helping grow a specialist trusts and estates litigation practice
A Wills & Estates Specialist Accreditation is welcomed but certainly not essential.
This is a role where you’ll be surrounded by experienced trusts and estates practitioners, working on interesting matters without being micromanaged. There is genuine flexibility around how you work, with hybrid and part-time arrangements available, and plenty of scope to shape the role around your experience and longer-term career goals.
The firm also offers a strong benefits package, including a professional development program, flexible working, wellness initiatives, paid parental leave, additional leave days, an annual team retreat and plenty more.
If you’re looking for a senior trusts and estates role where the work is genuinely interesting, you can operate with a high level of autonomy, and you can have a real say in the growth of a specialist practice, this is one worth a conversation.
